InspirAsian American Leadership Awards Dinner
The annual InspirAsian American Leadership Awards Dinner will be held on November 15th at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson in Jersey City, NJ. This signature event allows our attendees to cultivate new prospects, promote their business, enhance their brand and increase their awareness of the programs provided by the northeast region. The featured speaker for the evening will be Ms. Nydia Han, 6abc’s Consumer Investigative Reporter, Troubleshooter, and co-anchor of Action News Sunday mornings. Ms. Han is also the creator of the documentary series, #ThisIsAmerica, a provocative fresh look at who we are as Americans.
Ms. Han is an Emmy award winning journalist, committed to getting real results for our Action News viewers. She is dedicated to exposing scams, protecting consumers, and encouraging businesses and agencies to do the right thing. In her work related to #ThisIsAmerica, Ms. Han hopes to inspire all of us to get to know each other’s unique American stories, check our own biases, and act as positive agents of change and unity in our communities. Ms. Han also covers general news as an Action News anchor and has traveled frequently to cover national stories.
The Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be Mr. Anthony M. Luna, Vice President of Relationship Development, Pearl S. Buck International. The highlight of the evening will be presentation of the Asian American Leadership Awards, honoring the outstanding business achievements of Asian American-owned businesses across multiple industries. The InspirAsian American Leadership Awards Dinner is the largest fundraiser of the year for the chapter, proceeds from the event allow us to implement essential services and provide opportunities to continually benefit our member businesses as we continue to be the single unified voice for equal opportunity for Asian American and minority owned businesses.
Our goal of assisting our members in identifying and developing business opportunities with other Asian American and minority owned businesses is accomplished by facilitating strategic alliance partnerships and procurement contract opportunities with corporations, non-profit organizations and the federal government. Our members represent industries, which include: Commercial & Industrial Construction, Design Build, Historical Preservation, Accounting, Video Production, Global Relocation Services, Finance, IT Solutions, Attorneys/Law Firms, Technology, Pharmaceutical, Marketing, Janitorial, Multimedia, Food Service, Telecommunications, Engineering, General Contractors, Sub Contractors, Personal Protective Equipment and Transportation.

The Asian American Leadership Awards acknowledges the continued robust growth of Asian American-owned businesses during difficult economic times. We regard our honorees as a testament to the enduring quality of Asian Americans who, through innovation, hard work and effective leadership remain at the forefront of our national economy.

The deadline to submit an application for the awards is October 4, 2019. Honorees will be notified by October 14, 2019.

Humanitarian Award Recipient
Dr. William (Bill) Kapfer has been named by the USPAACC Northeast Region as the recipient of the 2019 Humanitarian Award. The Humanitarian Award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions for the benefit of at-risk populations through active campaigning for public awareness of vulnerable persons, fighting for equality under the law for disenfranchised populations, and advocating for the needs of underserved communities.
