Q. Who can apply for the USPAACC Membership?
The Certified Membership is open to any Asian American businesses. To verify the ownership, the applicant’s business should be at least 51% owned, managed, and operated by Asian American (s) or Asian legal permanent resident (s). However, the Regular
and Individual Membership are open to any businesses and individuals, respectively.
Q. I am a legal permanent resident (LPR). Can I also apply for the USPAACC Certification?
Yes. USPAACC Certification is open to both U.S. Citizens and Asian Immigrants whose status is legal permanent residents (LPR). This inclusive process opens the doors to permanent residents who pay taxes, whose children have served in the U.S. military,
and who contribute to the U.S. economy.
Q. How much does the USPAACC membership cost?
USPAACC Certified Membership costs $330 USD USPAACC Regular and Individual membership cost $250 USD.
Q. Do I have to renew the membership every year? If so, how?
Yes. The USPAACC membership is on annual basis. USPAACC will notify you about the membership renewal one month prior to the expiration date.
Q. How long does each membership process take?
For the Certified Membership, it will normally take two to three months. Regular and Individual Membership process takes only one or two days.
Q. Why does the Certified Membership process take long?
The certification process normally takes two to three months. The process consists of two main parts: a document review and a site visit. USPAACC Certification Committee will thoroughly review and verify submitted documents according to criteria.
Upon the completion of the document review, the site visit will be conducted. The process will be shortened if documents are well prepared since the delay is often due to incomplete documents.
Q. Why do I have to get my business USPAACC-Certified?
USPAACC strongly encourages Asian American businesses to get USPAACC certification as an Asian American-owned business because this could increase business opportunity with Fortune companies and federal/state/local government agencies as a subcontractor.
There are occasions when a contract and/or opportunity requires the skills that are readily and competently performed by Asian Americans. Having USPAACC certification enables you to be easily identified among thousands of minority suppliers.

Q. I am already SBA and other organization certified. Do I still have to be certified by USPAACC?
It is to the member’s advantage to have USPAACC certification, in addition to certification by the SBA and other organizations. Our certification identifies a company as Asian American-owned, affords connections to Fortune corporations and key federal
agencies, and carries the prestige of an established national organization with an exceptional reputation and tremendous networking opportunities.
Q. Is there any way to be certified within a short time?
Yes. USPAACC also offers an expedited application process. This enables the case to be certified within three weeks for a fee of $600.
