USPAACC Holds a Business Procurement Event at Novartis

May 30, 2016

USPAACC-NE held a business procurement event at Novartis on May 3rd, 2016. The event began with welcome remarks from Michael Brueckner, Vice President of Novartis US Procurement Leadership and the USPAACC Northeast Chapter President, Anisa Balwani. It was followed by a panel discussion on the topic of “How to Do Business with Large Corporations”. The panelists consisted of the facilitator Sheri Shafir, Associate Director of Supplier Diversity at Novartis, and the panelists,  Kathleen Castore from Sanofi, Marianna Danchisko from Celgene, Ellen Jameson from Pfizer Inc., Tara Spann from Merck & Co., Inc. and Paul D. Williams from Mondelez International. They all gave great insight and examples of how to do business with their respective organizations.  It was an interactive session with each panelist sharing great energy and chemistry to engage the audience and provide valuable information on the topic.

Following the discussion there was a time for “Questions and Answers” from the audience where the panelists clarified and went deeper on many different subjects. The audience was able to ask questions ranging from further business advice to how to handle specific situations. There was a time to get more personal during the provided lunch time where everyone had a chance to network with Corporate Representatives and USPAACC members.

There was a positive response along with feedback that will be taken into consideration to make future events even better. There are many more great events like this to come including the CelebrAsian Conference in June 1-3, 2016 held at Atlanta, Georgia.
